I won a free Hyatt Place night with their 200 free nights contest!

Hats off to Just Another Points Traveler for writing about this promotion and reminding me to participate. I had previously read about the promotion, but had not paid too much attention to it since “I never win anything”.

The Hyatt Place 200 free nights promotion contest is running through August 26th, so you only have three days left to participate. From now until 8:59:59 p.m. ET on 8/26/14, you can share a picture of a Hyatt Place location, room, pool, or anything else you want for a chance to win one of 200 free nights celebrating the brand’s 200 locations. The picture must be taken by you (read: can’t just grab a picture from their website). For all the contest rules, refer to this link.

Your picture should emphasize the Hyatt Place brand, and will be judged based on creativity (50%) and how much it emphasizes the Hyatt Place brand (50%).

This is the picture that won me the free night, which I took during our stay at the Hyatt Place Austin Downtown:

You can enter up to 3 different ways into the promotion. You can use Twitter, Instagram, or check into one of their properties with Foursquare and/or Swarm account. You MUST include BOTH hashtags #HyattPlace and #HPEntry along with your picture.

The rules prohibit multiple attempts to enter the contest using multiple entries, so make sure you enter only once. There aren’t a ton of entries if you look into the #HPEntry hashtag, so there are really good chances of winning. Once you are selected, you have 24-hours to respond with your contact information via direct message.

I received the free night certificate the following day via email. The certificate is only good until 12/31/14, so make sure you use it before then if you were to win.

Good luck!
