Hotel Cards

1- SPG American Express Card – 25K – Apply Personal or Business

This card offers a potential for 25K bonus Starpoints, 10K after the first purchase and then 15K after spending $5,000 in the first 6 months.  The $65 annual fee is waived the first year.

We consider this to be one of the most solid reward cards out there. SPG points are very valuable and can be redeem for stays at properties like Westin, Sheraton, W, Meridian, etc. Rewards stays begin as low as 3,000 points depending on the hotel category, and come with no blackout dates. The sign-up bonus is enough for a three-night stay at any Category 4 property. SPG points can also be transferred to several airlines with a 25% bonus (20,000 points for 25,000 airline miles).

You can apply for the personal card or the business card (no actual business required).

2- U.S. Bank Club Carlson Premier Rewards Visa Signature card - Apply here

50,000 Bonus Gold points after your first purchase, and an additional 35,000 points after you spend $2,500 within the first 90 days of card membership. 40,000 additional bonus points on your card anniversary each year, which more than makes up for the $75 annual fee.

You also get automatic Gold Elite Status with the card, and the best benefit of all, which is the second night free when you stay on points for any stay of 2 nights or more.

3- Chase Hyatt Visa

This card gets you 2 free nights at any Category 1-4 Hyatt property after spending $1,000 within the first 3 months of card membership. You also get Hyatt Platinum status, which gets you benefits such as free internet, late checkout upon availability, and a few other perks. There is a way, however, to get an even better offer, which is by trying to book a reservation directly with Hyatt online. Notice that we say “trying”, and you don’t actually have to book anything. MillionMileSecrets has a really good post about how to make this offer come up on your screen, and we have tested it and received the credit right away.
